Queen's Swing Club is a student run dance club at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. The club was founded in 1999 and today has over 200 members each school year. They mostly do Lindy Hop, but hold occasional lessons in every kind of swing. It is open to both students and non-students.
Each Monday during the school year it hosts a speciality lesson at 7:00 followed by a beginner lesson at 8:00 open to people who have never danced before. The classes are followed by two hours of social dancing to a wide range of music from class swing, to modern swing, to rock and show tunes. Membership costs $10 for the year and drop-in classes cost $2. These lessons take place in Wallace Hall in the JDUC, at the corner of Union and University.
In addition to the weekly lessons, Queen's Swing Club hosts at least two workshops during the year whereat they bring in top professional instructors and have big dances with live bands.
