Community organisation that organises lindy hop, blues and balboa lessons and workshops in Kansas City, as well as events and performances. In the process of being turned into a non-profit organisation. It is named for the local 627 union, which is historically the union for jazz musicians. The KC Canaries are a chorus girl troupe part of 627 stomp.
Lawrence Lindy Hop[]
Formed in 2017, Lawrence Lindy Hop offers free swing lessons on Wednesday evenings.
Swingsters[]
Performance group that performs and teaches lindy hop, east coast swing and west coast swing.
University Groups[]
JCCC is the group for Johnson County Community College.
Swingaroos is a new group formed in 2018 for UMKC.
KU Swing Society is the group for Kansas University in Lawrence. They usually offer free lessons and the occasional dance, usually Wednesday evenings at KU. They usually organise the annual event Rock Chalk Swing.
